NIGHTWISH Announce Opening Acts For Record-Release Show
February 14, 2004NIGHTWISH have announced that they will be supported by DUNCES and TIMO RAUTIAINEN & TRIO NISKALAUKAUS at their special record-release show on May 22 at Kitee Icehall in Finland. According to the band, "NIGHTWISH will spend more money than never before for the lights and pyros [and] there will be plenty of foreign and Finnish media at the event."
As previously reported, NIGHTWISH's forthcoming album, "Once", is tentatively due in June through Spinefarm/Universal Records in Finland and Nuclear Blast in continental Europe. A release date for the U.S. has yet to be confirmed.
NIGHTWISH will be working with renowned director Antti Jokinen on the video clip for "Nemo", the first single off the upcoming CD. Jokinen has directed music videos for such international artists as CELINE DION, EMINEM and SHANIA TWAIN and is currently in Rome working as an assistant director on Renny Harlin's new film, "Exorcist: The Beginning". The album's second single, "I Wish I Had An Angel", is expected follow later in the year.
NIGHTWISH will kick off a three-week North American tour on August 16 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
